Dr. Kim D. Coder |
Professor Kim Coder is a world-renowned educator of arboriculture and urban forestry. He has had an enormous impact on arboriculture education and professionalism at both the state and national levels. He has also been a key force behind the development of certification of arborists by the International Society of Arboriculture.
Dr. Coder's contributions to the growth and development of the Georgia Arborist Association have been invaluable. He has very generously trained and entertained our organization with his frequent and unforgettable seminars and lectures. We are especially grateful for all the knowledge he has shared with us.
The GAA honored Dr. Coder with our inaugural Award for Meritorious Contribution and Service in Arboriculture at our first year-end Awards Ceremony on December 15, 2006. Each year since then, the GAA has presented this lifetime achievement award to one of our members in honor of Dr. Coder, his accomplishments, and his service in the field of arboriculture.
