Welcome to the GAA

A resource for tree care professionals and the public to protect and care for Georgia's trees.

    Committees:

    Committees play an important role in fulfilling the mission of the GAA.  Each committee focuses on specific objectives related to the daily operations of the GAA.  Committees meet regularly to discuss/plan our current initiatives and make decisions that are brought to the Board of Directors meeting for a vote.  A list of our current committees are below.  If you are interested in getting involved in a committee, please reach out to info@georgiaarborist.org.  You must be a member in good standing to participate in a committee of the GAA


    Membership Committee - focuses on growing and serving our general membership and their needs.

    Programs Committee - focuses on the planning and execution of yearly educational programming

    Finance Committee - focuses on the finances of the GAA

    Tree Climbing Competition & Trees Unite Us Conference Committee - focuses on the planning and execution of the Annual Tree Climbing Competition & Trees Unite Us Conference

    Nominations Committee - focuses on the recruitment and vetting of new board members and assists in the assembly of ballots and nominations to the Board of Directors

    Spanish Education Committee - focuses on the planning and execution of educational programming in Spanish

    Awards Committee - focuses on the planning and execution of the Annual Awards Banquet as well as making decisions on award recipients.

    Public Outreach & Workforce Development Committee - focuses on the GAA's involvement in events to promote public education and workforce development
