    February 19 Basic Tree Care Workshop in Dalton with Kris Thomas Dalton Landscape Director and Certified Arborist Kris Thomas will lead a BasicKris Thomas Tree Care Workshop on February 19, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.,  at the Historic Freight Depot, 305 South Depot Street, Dalton.  This workshop will cover tree planting techniques, young tree management and mature tree management.  This is an excellent opportunity to see how street trees are planted and learn the unique requirements for planting trees in this setting, as Kris will lead a planting in Dalton's downtown streetscape.  We'll also enjoy a tour of Dalton's Arboretum.   Registration fee:  $50 members, $60 non-members.  Lunch will be provided.  ISA CEUS:   2.75 Arborist; 2.75 Municipal; 1 BCMA Practice; 1 BCMA Management, .75 BCMA Science.  Other:  2.5 Continuing Forestry Education Credits from the Society of American Foresters.  2 Pesticide credit hours per category 24.  Certificates of Attendance available for other fields.
