Preparation for Georgia Pesticide Applicator Licensing Exam in Category 24

Gwinnett County Extension is offering a workshop to help prepare those who are planning to take the Georgia Pesticide Applicator Licensing Exam in Category 24 Ornamental and Turf. It will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at Gwinnett Technical College, 5150 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, in Building 200, Room 104. The cost is $10.00 (Bring correct amount of cash, check or credit card.) Participants can pay at the door, but registration is required by Wednesday, February 24. Make checks payable to Gwinnett County Extension/4H. To pre-register, you can send in the form with payment or contact me by phone or e-mail by Wednesday, February 24, 2016. The workshop will cover the ornamental and turf section first, and then the general standards section. Please refer to the attached registration form for more details. (Please note: there will be no pesticide recertification credits available).

The exam itself will not be offered after the class. It is offered at Gwinnett Technical College every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. To register for the exam go to www.gapestexam.com. The cost is $45.00 payable at the time of the exam. Make the check payable to Gwinnett Technical College.

Participants need to purchase the study books before the class. The general standards book is $30.00 and the ornamental and turf book is $25.00. You can purchase the books through the Gwinnett County Extension office (office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) or use the attached form to order from the University of Georgia Office of Communications and Technology Services
