PLEASE NOTE:
This is a training class for people who want to pass the exam to become
a category 24 pesticide applicator. This is not a recertification
class and no recertification credits will be offered
TRAINING: The
class will cover the general standards portion and then the ornamental
and turf section to help those interested in obtaining the Georgia Pesticide
Applicator’s License. The training will include some hands on material,
handouts, and a practice exam. Please bring a calculator, some scratch
paper, a ruler, and some pens and pencils. There is no charge for
the training but preregistration is required by Monday, October 25,
2010. To register for the training, contact

MATERIALS:
Before the class, it is strongly recommended that you purchase the
following books: Applying Pesticides Correctly, $15.00 and Ornamental
and Turfgrass Pest Management at $25.00. You can purchase them at the
Gwinnett County Extension office (Cash or check only, no credit cards)
or through the University of Georgia office of Communications. Go to
the registration website (www.gapestexam.com), click on exam information, and then
click on training material under commercial applicators examination
for ordering information.
EXAM: The
pesticide applicator test is offered every Monday at Gwinnett Technical
College, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, except holidays. To register for the
exam, go to: www.gapestexam.com. The cost is $45.00 payable at the
