"Farming with Trees and Wood: Keep Mulch in the City"

A free networking event for arborists, tree climbers, community members, urban farmers, gardeners, nonprofits, artists, craftsmen, designers and all those interested in re-utilizing urban wood locally.

Take an onsite tour of the Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture Collegetown Garden and learn about ways the center is using felled urban trees and wood chips generated from local tree care companies as a resource for growing food in a sustainable way.

Everyone will have a chance to network and share business opportunities, potential urban wood products, specific urban wood needs, and discuss the cool trees they are seeing removed that could be a nice piece of furniture someday!

Food and beverage will be served to all registered. Catered by Southern Crust, this is an event not to be missed. This event is in partnership with AGLANTA - Urban Agriculture Atlanta.

    Thursday, June 29th
    6:30 to 9 p.m.

Georgia Arborist Association and Georgia Forestry Commission are partnering to host a series of urban wood use networking events to bring the urban wood use movement to Georgia. Atlanta is a city if the forest, after all! Let's put our aged, storm-damaged or insect-infested trees to their best possible use.

Due to the popularity of the event you MUST register. This event will fill up, so register now.
