Category 24 Ornamental and Turf Pesticide Applicator Training

TRAINING: The first part of the class will cover category 24, ornamental
and turf portion of the exam. The second part will cover the general
standards section. The training will include hands-on material, handouts
and practice exams.

MATERIALS: Before the class, it is strongly recommended that you purchase
the following books: Applying Pesticides Correctly for $30.00 and
Ornamental and Turfgrass Pest Management for $25.00. Both are available
in the UGA Extension Gwinnett office - (cash, check or credit card).
Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. or you can
order them through www.gapestexam.com. It is advised to order them
at least two weeks prior to the training.

EXAM: The Category 24 Ornamental and Turf Pesticide Applicator’s exam
is offered at several technical schools throughout the state.
To find one near you and to register for the exam visit:
www.gapestexam.com. The cost is $45.00, which is payable at the time of
the exam. Make checks payable to the technical college.

The exam itself will not be offered after the class. It is offered at several technical Colleges throughout the state. Gwinnett Technical College has the exam every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. To register for the exam go to www.gapestexam.com. 

Participants need to purchase the study books before the class. The general standards book is $30.00 and the ornamental and turf book is $25.00. You can purchase the books through the Gwinnett County Extension office (office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) or use the attached form to order from the University of Georgia Office of Communications and Technology Services.

We will not take registration at the door. All fees must be paid for and received by deadline.
