UGA Extension Gwinnett: Category 24 Ornamental and Turf Pesticide Applicator Training

UGA Extension Gwinnett is offering a workshop to help prepare those who are planning to take the Georgia Pesticide Applicator Licensing Exam in Category 24 Ornamental and Turf to pass it. The workshop will cover the ornamental and turf section first, and then the general standards section. We will have informative handouts and a couple of practice exams. Please refer to the attached registration form for more details. The program will be held on Friday, February 22, 2018, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in the second floor conference room of the Gwinnett County Government Building, 750 South Perry St., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The cost is $25 per person. To register, fill out the attached form and mail it with a check made payable to the University of Georgia to the following address:

The exam itself will not be offered after the class. It is offered at several technical colleges throughout the state. The cost is $45 with a check made payable to the technical college. Gwinnett Technical College has the exam every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Participants need to purchase the study books before the class. The National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual(general standards) book is $35.00 and the ornamental and turf book is $35.00. You can purchase the books through the Gwinnett County Extension office (office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) or order from www.gapestexam.com.
