    Invasive Species First Detector Program

    October 9th - October 10th

     9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.



    The First Detectors program offers a two-day advanced workshop to provide tools, educational materials and training for stakeholders:

    • Professionals
    • Master Gardeners
    • Master Naturalists
    • Citizen Scientists
    • Concerned Citizens
    • Learn to identify, report and manage invasive species.


    The program offers the following credits:

    • Master Gardener Advanced Credits 
    • Five Credit Hours for Georgia Commercial Pesticide Applicator Licenses in CAT 21 (Plant Agriculture), CAT 23 (Forest Pest Control), CAT 24 (Ornamental & Turf), and CAT 26 (Aquatic Pest Control) 
    • Certified Arborist 4.5 CEUs

    Cost: $40 per participant.
