A resource for tree care professionals and the public to protect and care for Georgia's trees.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System invites you to attend two educational opportunities on trees and the law. These workshops will familiarize audiences with some of the key legal concepts associated with managing urban trees. The workshops are independent from each other, allowing people to choose to attend one or both. However, the topics coordinate well with each other, so people are encouraged to attend both.
For those wishing to earn continuing education credits, these workshops can be counted toward Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for ISA, landscape architect, and Continuing Forestry Education (CFE) credits.
Cost: $45. Late registration (after April 8) is $60.
When: April 21 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Where: Bessemer Civic Center – 1130 9th Ave SW, Bessemer, Alabama 35022
In the Succeeding as an Expert Witness workshop, Joe Samnik will share his knowledge based on over 1,000 litigated cases. Whether you have never been to court or been there a dozen times, this presentation will review the nuances of successful testimony. Samnik has been qualified as an expert witness in federal, criminal, civil, and eminent domain courts of law. His opinions have never been stricken. The event will take you inside the minds of jurors as they deliberate your opinions.
Registration is required to attend this workshop. Register for this webinar series online at www.aces.edu/go/Treesandlaw.
