ISA Certified Arborist® Exam Review Course

About: Over seven sessions, instructors and certified arborists Rob Swanson and Kay Evanovich will help attendees prepare for the exam with talks covering Tree Biology, Tree Identification, Soil Science, Water Management, Tree Nutrition and Fertilization, Tree Selection, Installation and Establishment, Pruning, Tree Support and Lightning Protection, Diagnosis and Plant Disorders, Plant Health Care, Tree Assessment and Risk Management, Trees and Construction, Urban Forestry, Tree Worker Safety, and Climbing & Working in Trees. Attendees will also learn about eligibility for the exam and taking the exam.
STUDY GUIDE: Attendees should read through the ISA Arborist Certification Study Guide (not included) to prepare for the review and the exam. The Arborist Certification Study Guide is available at www.isa-arbor.com and www.amazon.com. The GAA does have a limited amount of Study Guides available. Please contact brittany@georgiaarborist.org if you would like to make a donation in exchange for a study guide. Attendees will be responsible for completing their own application for the exam. The Exam to follow is scheduled for September 8, 2022 in Rome, GA and you can find more information here about registering. Application and Registration must be handled through the ISA and the Registration deadline for the exam is August 23, 2022

Cost: GAA members $100, Non-Members $160 (includes 1 year membership to GAA)
SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE SPONSORED BY GEORGIA FORESTRY COMMISSION, AVAILABLE to tree board members and tree care workers employed by a city, county, school or university who are not ISA Certified Arborists. Applicants must be employees within the state of Georgia only.
