    Description:  

    The course begins with a presentation on theoretical issues of cranes and their use in trees. Afterwards there will be a demonstration of how to remove a tree with a crane. The instructors talk with the participants about the application of theoretical topics in real life through interactive radios. -

    • Terminology 
    • Crane components and inspection 
    • Safety Standards and Federal Regulations 
    • Load charts and how to read and use them 
    • Methods of determining load before cutting in trees 
    • Crane sitting on steep or difficult terrain 
    • Frames and their uses in tree sections 
    • How to perform cuts successfully 
    • Dynamic loads

      Participants must bring:   

      • PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, proper clothing including Hi-Viz
