The High Voltage Safety Act: Utility & Commercial Arboriculture - Working Together
Utilities, tree companies, and arborists must coexist and work together, so let’s make those interactions positive and successful! At this event, attendees will learn about the High Voltage Safety Act and how it impacts private and commercial tree work. We will also touch on incidental line clearance certification and the 811 Process for requesting scheduled power outages.

A bit about this event:
As most remember, during COVID the GAA transitioned to all virtual classes. We all adapted to this new format out of necessity but many learned virtual format programs were more convenient and time saving. Therefore in 2022 when we brought back in-person bi-monthly trainings, we found that our audience still preferred learning from home for these 1-hour events. We decided to keep the bi-monthly trainings all virtual - this allowed us to continue to reach all parts of Georgia and way far beyond that. However, the need to network throughout different parts of Georgia is still highly requested by membership. Therefore, the quarterly Educational Happy Hour was born!
The goal of this event is to hold 1x per quarter in a different area of Georgia to increase industry engagement, membership and encourage professional connections through networking across the state. Locations are chosen based on demand/requests from membership. If you would like the event in your area, please request so here.
We will be holding these events on Fridays in the hope that families can plan a weekend get-away in the area and bring more than just locals to the networking events. Let's all get together and make new connections! We have included below some information about the area - places to stay, local events, etc!
Stay the weekend!
