Topic description: The course examines how trees function as essential components for stormwater runoff management in both urban and suburban environments.
Meet the Speaker-
Rolando Orellana
Rolando Orellana holds the position of Urban Water Management Agent at the Georgia Center for Urban Agriculture at the University of Georgia.
He works at the UGA campus in Griffin, where he focuses on research and outreach related to the efficient use of water through irrigation systems.
He joined UGA Extension in December 2009 as an ANR (Agriculture and Natural Resources) Agent for Fulton and Cobb counties in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
In July 2018, he assumed his current role as Urban Water Management Agent at the Center for Urban Agriculture.
Areas of Expertise
Orellana is primarily dedicated to: Research on efficient irrigation systems, Water management in urban environments
Education and outreach on sustainable water use practices. His work is essential for promoting water conservation and improving irrigation practices in urban and suburban areas of Georgia.
