PUG Introduction: This presentation will provide an overview of the federal procurement standards applicable for recipients and subrecipients when purchasing under a FEMA grant. Tools and resources will be provided during this presentation to aid compliance with the procurement rules.

John Griego is a senior program specialist with FEMA’s Procurement Disaster Assistance Team (PDAT), where he serves as the team lead on agency policy review and development. John has been with PDAT for 5 years after transitioning from work as a contractor in FEMA’s

Grant Programs Directorate front office and a program analyst with FEMA’sOffice of External Affairs. Prior to joining FEMA, John served as a regional staffer for U.S. Senator Michael Bennet in Colorado, where he worked closely within the state’s military and Veterans communities. John graduated with both his graduate and undergraduate degrees in Public Policy and International Studies from the University of Denver. He is a proud Coloradan, finding time for fly fishing, skiing, hiking with his fiancé and goldendoodle, and cheering on the state’s many championship sports teams!
