    BASIC TREE CARE WORKSHOPS

    Instructors:  David Linville, Chatham County Cooperative Extension  Agent; Don Gardner, Glynn County Cooperative Extension Agent; and David Moulder, Bryan County Cooperative Extension Agent 


    Learn new concepts in tree planting, including planting procedures for bare-root, containerized, and B&B stock from site preparation to guying and staking procedures.  The discussion will include maintenance requirements for new transplants and troubleshooting planting-related problems.The workshop also covers young tree management, including key maintenance requirements for young trees with an emphasis on structural pruning, and mature tree management. CEUs will be available (6 CEUS for ISA-certified arborists).   Lunch is provided.

     

    Registration fee:

    $75 for GUFC members

    $85 for non-members
