Certified Arborist Training
A series of workshops on
Community Forestry Management

Classes will be instructed by a
Professional Certified Arborist.
Individuals that are involved with critical decisions affecting tree resources are encouraged to attend.

Topics to be covered:
•Tree Biology
•Proper pruning concepts/techniques
•Identification/selection of appropriate
species for community uses
•Cabling, bracing, and lightning
protection
•Tree, soil, and water relations
•Problem diagnosis and management
•Tree nutrition and fertilization

COST
The fee for the workshops is $150
This covers study guides and
all five classes.
The Certified Arborist Exam will be
offered at the end of the training for
those wishing to become Certified
Arborists. You will not be required to
take the exam, although much of the
course will be in preparation for the
exam. The training is designed to be
educational and beneficial to anyone
involved in individual tree
management.
Note that the exam fee is not included
in the course fee.
You must meet ISA qualifications and
pay a separate fee to ISA.
