    Tierson Boutte

This workshop will focus on safe crane operation in the dismantling of trees. Emphasis will be placed on crane knowledge. The instructive media will include a live demonstration in which communication by radio headsets between operator, climber, and groundsman will be broadcast to the listening audience via remote PA.

ANSI standards will be cited in many parts of the seminar. The comparative method of estimating wood weight will be reviewed; issues such as common injuries and common causes of crane failure during crane-assisted tree removal operations will also be discussed.

    Cost (includes lunch):
    GAA members:     $  95
    Non-members:      $165

5.5 ISA CEU's will be awarded to participants
